Research methodology
UrgentHomePro research uses only our own platform activity. Nothing is modelled, extrapolated, purchased or estimated. This page explains exactly what is counted and what our numbers cannot be used to claim.
Where the data comes from
Two first-party sources: online help requests submitted through UrgentHomePro forms, and inbound calls routed through our own phone routing system. Both are generated by real homeowners contacting us for help.
Test-mode and internal diagnostic activity is excluded from every figure. Bot-flagged and spam-flagged submissions are excluded.
What gets counted
Each observation contributes only non-identifying attributes: the service category, the metro or ZIP-derived market, the timestamp (day of week and time-of-day bucket), how the request arrived (online form, direct call, or call carrying website context), whether a buyer was available for routing, and connected call duration.
Anonymization
Names, phone numbers, email addresses, free-text descriptions, call identifiers, buyer destination numbers and partner request identifiers are never included in any research aggregate and never published. Research output is counts and shares only — no individual record is ever exposed, and no figure is derived from a single household.
Sample thresholds
A study becomes eligible only when it has at least 250 observations spanning at least 28 days. Inside a study, any individual breakdown — a category, a metro, an hour bucket — is withheld unless it has at least 30 observations. Withheld cells are shown as withheld rather than rounded, merged or filled in.
Date ranges and updates
Every published figure carries the exact inclusive date range it covers and its sample size. When a study is refreshed, the date range and sample size are updated with it, and prior ranges remain identified so a citation stays checkable.
Limitations
These figures describe demand routed through UrgentHomePro, not the entire home services market. Coverage is concentrated where we operate and market, so geographic distribution reflects our footprint as much as underlying demand. Category mix is influenced by which services we support and by search visibility. Nothing here should be read as a national incidence rate for any home problem.
Bid and payout values are not homeowner prices
UrgentHomePro is a matching platform and may be compensated for qualifying calls and requests. Any partner bid or payout value that exists in our systems reflects what a buyer pays for a routed contact. It is not a repair price, an estimate, or any indication of what a homeowner will be charged, and it is never published or presented as a cost figure. Homeowner cost information on this site lives in our cost guides and is sourced and labeled separately.
These thresholds govern first-party platform studies. Research built on outside public datasets states its own sources, formulas and margins of error on the page itself — see the 2026 South Florida Home Emergency Risk Report for a worked example.
