About UrgentHomePro
Still deciding whether this is an emergency? The homeowner FAQ answers the 36 questions homeowners ask most before calling anyone, and the homeowner tools help you size up the problem first.
UrgentHomePro matching line
Call UrgentHomePro to be connected with an available independent service provider. Availability depends on service type, location and participating providers.
UrgentHomePro exists for the worst ten minutes of a homeowner's week: water coming through a ceiling, sewage in a shower pan, no water at all on a Sunday night. In those moments people don't want a directory of two hundred listings — they want one competent professional who covers their ZIP code and answers the phone.
We are a matching platform. You describe the problem in plain language, we route the request to an independent provider serving your area, and they contact you directly. UrgentHomePro does not perform repairs, does not employ the providers, and does not quote work on their behalf.
More than a directory
UrgentHomePro is more than a home-services directory. The platform combines homeowner guidance, service decision support and real service-request routing designed to help people move from "Who do I call?" to requesting help from an independent provider serving their area. That routing is operational infrastructure, not a contact form that lands in an inbox: a request is captured in structured form, checked for eligibility against the service and location, and passed into a routing process that reaches independent providers.
Provider availability, scope and pricing are determined by the independent provider serving the request. Our job is to make the request accurate — the right trade, the right urgency, the right location — so the conversation that follows starts from something useful.
What we actually do
Three things, and nothing else. We publish guidance that helps a homeowner understand what is happening before anyone shows up. We collect a structured description of the problem — trade, symptom, urgency, location. And we route that request to an independent provider whose stated coverage matches the ZIP code and the type of work. One request, routed once — not auctioned or blasted to a dozen companies at the same time.
Trades we cover
The platform started with emergency plumbing and now routes 7 home-service categories: HVAC, Electrical, Water Damage, Roofing, Garage Door, Locksmith, Pest Control. Each category has its own service architecture — a hub, specific sub-services, and city pages that describe the work in local terms rather than swapping a place name into a template.
Why South Florida first
Launching one category in one market keeps the promise honest. Emergency plumbing in the tri-county corridor — Broward County, Palm Beach County, Miami-Dade County — gives us a dense, well-defined area where coverage can be verified city by city rather than claimed nationally.
How we write our guides
Every guide is written to be useful before it is optimized. We publish what to shut off, what to document for insurance, and which variables drive the cost of a repair. We do not publish invented price tables, fake reviews, or statistics we cannot source. Where a claim depends on an outside authority — a plumbing code requirement, an EPA water-use figure, a CDC guideline on contaminated water — we cite the source on the page so you can check it yourself. Our editorial standards describe the review process in full, and our research and methodology program sets out the source standards and publication thresholds behind them, down to the sample rules we apply before publishing a cost figure.
Homeowner feedback about the matching service — including critical feedback — is published on our reviews and feedback page, which also explains what we moderate and what we do not claim to verify.
How we are funded, and what that means for you
UrgentHomePro is paid by the providers in the network, not by homeowners. Submitting a request is free, and the price a provider charges you is set by that provider. Because our revenue depends on providers receiving requests they can genuinely serve, our incentive is a good match rather than the largest possible volume — a mismatched emergency request is worthless to everyone in the chain.
What we are not
We are not a contractor, a licensing body, an insurer, or a warranty provider. We do not guarantee the work performed by any provider, and we are not a substitute for 911, your utility's emergency line, or a licensed professional's on-site judgment. Verify a contractor's license with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation before work begins — for any contractor, from any source, including ours.

- Explain what drives the cost of a repair, and why a diagnosis normally comes first
- Facilitate service-request routing so eligible requests can reach independent providers serving that service and area
What we don't do

- UrgentHomePro does not set provider pricing, scope or service terms
- UrgentHomePro does not determine or guarantee provider availability
- UrgentHomePro is not a substitute for 911, your utility, or a licensed professional on site
Work is performed by independent local businesses that hold their own licenses and insurance and set their own prices, scope and terms. How matching works.
UrgentHomePro is a home-services matching platform. We help connect consumers with independent home-service providers. UrgentHomePro does not perform home repairs and does not employ the independent providers it may route requests to. Provider availability, qualifications, licensing, pricing, warranties and service terms are determined by the individual provider. Calls placed through this site may be connected to an independent provider or a partner provider network, and UrgentHomePro may be compensated for qualifying calls and requests. Availability and arrival times vary by provider, location and current demand.
